Second visit to Tanzania, Africa, with Daniel, Marta, Mariel, Jairo and Natalia Cipolla
ministering in different children's centers, together with pastors Brighton.
Wewe ni Alfa na Omega, twakwabudu bwana wastahili sifa. What you have just attempted to read in Swahili conveys the immeasurable greatness of the Lord since it translates to: You are the Alpha and Omega, we worship You oh Lord, You are Worthy to be praised. On this occasion, we had the privilege of traveling as a team of five members including Daniel, Marta, Mariel, Jairo, and Natalia Cipolla. We can confirm that at every stage of very special apostolic trip we experienced the Lord as Alpha and Omega!
We departed towards our first destination Doha, Qatar, Arab Emirates on Saturday, July 26th on a 15-hour non-stop flight. We thank the Lord for allowing to set foot upon this region of the Earth so that we could pray with authority to open a door for the powerful gospel of the Kingdom for that city and nation. After spending the night in Doha, we departed toward Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where we arrived on Monday July 28th in the afternoon. Pastors Philemon and Christer Brighton were there waiting for us with joyfully and with expectation, and once we were with them we continued our trip towards Morogoro city.
Many months prior to the trip, hard work went into locating suppliers that could purchase all the supplies we would provide for 5000 children. Due to God’s grace all the suppliers did an excellent job and provided us with quality material, which was promptly delivered to the Pastors’ home. 5000 units of the following items were purchased and given out: T-Shirts, notebooks, pens, and geography books. Additionally, more than 2000 copies of “The Story of Nikhos,” 30 desktop computers, and 30 soccer balls were distributed..
Part of the work prepared before the trip included a silent play Marta, Mariel, Jairo and Natalia worked on, which dealt with themes related to the everyday lives of the children of Tanzania. All of the acting was done with gestures and body movement to prevent the language barrier from being an issue. This play’s only purpose was to preach Christ and it was presented in every stop of the trip where children were present. The play had two acts, and after each one of them Jairo and Mariel made sure to ask the children what they understood at that point. I was wonderful to witness the understanding of the children and the way they received the word with open hearts! Glory be to the Lord forever!
The trip to Africa was and continues to be a blessing for us since the experiences we lived continue to minister and teach us.
When we visited the first children’s center, we saw in them an incomparable thankfulness, which made us think of how our behavior towards the Lord should always be; it should never look at what is received, or how much is received in order to be thankful, instead, it just is thankful, without condition.
We visited 10 of the centers, reaching around 5000 children. It impressed us how despite them being orphan children, and sometimes homeless without an image of authority from their parents, these children were obedient and did anything their teachers asked without questioning “Why?” They simply did it.
Seeing these groups of 700 children who were all seated in complete order and silence and completely attentive to the play was really something impressive. The “modern” children in this side of the world require this kind of obedience and discipline! The Lord truly surprised us with these children; we know he will continue to surprise us since the change for the African continent will sprout from those who surrendered their lives to Christ in this trip.
There was one situation that really caught our attention. We were at one of the center to hand out “The Story of Nikhos” to the children. It turns out there is a considerable number of Muslim children in the center, which is why the teachers warned this was a Christian book and they were not obligated to take it. This warning was made knowing that the school is in an area surrounded by a Muslim population that is generally aggressive. Despite the content warning, we were surprised to see that a great number of those children accepted the book since the wanted to know what was inside. We also noticed that the teachers became especially interested in “The Story of Nikhos,” and we were pleased to give them each their own copy as a gift. We see this as a prophetic sign of what will happen in Tanzania, what will happen to all of the children, and what the church will experience in this place. It won’t matter if there is danger around, the inhabitants of Tanzania will choose Christ and live for Him, and this will bring change to this Tanzania and the entire continent.
In the morning we would visit the centers for children, and starting on Tuesday the 29th and ending on the 31st of July we had a seminar led by Daniel Cipolla around late afternoon every day. Pastor Philemon invited many pastors and churches and we were able to share with our brothers and sisters in Africa. It filled us with joy to find men and women who love the Lord and worship Him. Daniel prophetically ministered the pastors who attended the seminar, and during the last night he gave a prophetic word from the Lord for Africa and the church within. We know that his word is never fruitless, and we will see and hear about many radical changes in Africa.
On Friday, August 1st, Daniel ministered exclusively for many University students of Morogoro. He presented the Conference “The Power of Your Mind.”
On Saturday, August 2nd, we visited Pastor Phil Training Center, a school founded by Pastors Phil and Christer Brighton, where more than 500 children up to 17 years old are taught English and PC skills. Since our first trip in 2012, as a ministry we have continued to donate monthly for the continuation of this beautiful project of the Lord. When we entered the building we were pleased to see that new floors were laid, doors and windows were repaired, and there are new desks and chairs for the students. We could feel the spiritual change that had occurred on our first trip brought all these natural changes as well. After visiting the center we left towards Dar el Salaam.
The last ministration in Tanzania was on Sunday, August 4th when Daniel shared a word in Dar el Salaam. The hosting church in this case was Evangelistic Assemblies of God, whose pastors are Brown Mwakiborwa and his wife together with brother Emmanuel Mgaya. It was a very special time where the Holy Spirit spoke with clarity to the church and a prophetic word was given to the pastors who in turn received it humbly and with simplicity of heart.
We can confirm with the conviction that bears faith, that the Lord has opened a spacious door in the African continent for his Kingdom, which will extend towards Asia and other nations in Europe.
Around 5000 children were ministered, the majority of them orphans.
